- Define a core team for the organization comprised of
process owners.
- Define a Steering Committee comprised of senior managers
to conduct project reviews.
- Have each department streamline their processes and
document them in a process modeling tool.
- Define key performance measurements for each process.
- Have the Steering Committee approve the process
requirements and measurements.
- Identify process improvement activities.
- Document the To-Be processes and quantify the benefits.
- Determine the cost of implementing process improvements
and calculate a return on investment (ROI).
- Prioritize process improvement activities based on ROI.
- Insure high priorities are in line with the company's
mission, goals, strategy and objectives.
- Implement process improvements.
- Measure results.
- Repeat and continuously improve this process.
